U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Released a Plan to Regulate "Forever Chemicals."
This week, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency released a plan to regulate "forever chemicals." Known as PFAS, these chemicals are found in a variety of products. They have contaminated soils and drinking water supplies across the United States, can cause severe health problems, and do not break down in the environment. Some states have already set guidelines, but federal drinking water limits for PFAS would be helpful to provide consistency across the country.
